Obituary

Douglas Wade Nettles, Jr., 56, of Tomball, passed away December 11, 2020.  He was born April 14, 1964, in Houston to Douglas Wade Nettles, Sr. and Shirley Virginia Key Nettles.

Most of us knew him as Wade. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Most of his childhood he spent in Hidden Valley. He went to Elementary school at Hidden Valley Elementary, Middle School at Stovall and High School at Aldine where he graduated in 1982. After Highschool he joined the Navy. He served from August 1982 through August 1988. Wade went through training to work on F18's. He was very proud of his Navy service and spoke often of his life in the Navy. After his service, he went to work for Lockheed doing the same thing he did in the Navy. Eventually, he began to work on Commercial Doors and made a career out of it for close to 30 years. Wade was a family man who loved his family and enjoyed being "Papa". He will be greatly missed.

Wade is survived by his, mother, Shirley Nettles; wife, Genia Nettles; daughters, Elizabeth Cannon and husband Chris, Ashley Knight and husband Chris; son, Brandon Ives; grandchildren, Brooklyne Boos, Lillian Cannon, Joshua Knight, Josiah Knight and on the way "Tater Tot" Cannon; brother, Scott Nettles and wife Marlene; nieces, Julia Griffith and Jessica Nettles.
