Douglas Leon Henry, age 96, passed away Monday August 22, 2022 at his home in Spring, Texas. He was born June 15, 1926 to Leon and Sally Henry of Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Fort Worth's Polytechnic Senior High School and graduated in 1943. He was drafted by the U S Army and served in World War II. He later attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent his professional career with Gulf Oil Corporation and retired 1986. He married Bettye (Savage) Henry on January 21, 1948. They had been married 71 years at the time of her death in 2019. They were both long time members of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.

He is survived by his four children, Ann Landrum (husband Gerry) Phyllis Corley (husband Bill ), Susan Henry, and Steven Henry (wife Lynda). He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jason Landrum (wife Abby), Scott Landrum, Rachel Hines (husband Blake), and Chris Henry. And finally, he is survived by his great grandchildren Katelynn and Collin Hines, and Lillian Landrum.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet in Fort Worth, Texas.
