Mr. Douglas Johnson, 76, of Hockley, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born on April 13, 1945 in Plainview, Texas to Frank Johnson, Sr. and Ruth Douglas Johnson Wooley.

Douglas was a graduate of the Booker T. Washington School in Plainview, Texas. He was employed with Amoco in Odessa, Texas from 1972-1995 (23 years), later by the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, and was currently employed by Community of Faith Church in Hockley, Texas.  Douglas was affectionately known as Mr. D. by family and friends.  He was known and loved for his servant's heart, his good humor, and his love for those he served.

Douglas is survived by his son Henry Anthony Johnson and wife Juanita Johnson of Odessa, Texas; as well as two daughters, Karen Clardy and Ruth Johnson both of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by 6 grandsons, DeAnthony Johnson, Blaketon Clardy, Devin Johnson, Javon Johnson, Deoni Johnson and Jamon Johnson, as well as one granddaughter Tiera Johnson.  He has four surviving great granddaughters, Amari Rogers, Ka'Brea Johnson, K"halia Johnson and Devia Johnson.  He is also survived by his  sister Mamie Ola Macon of Fort Worth, Texas and one brother Arthur Dewayne Wooley of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers Frank Johnson, Jr, Claudia Ray Johnson, Don Johnson and David Wooley; three sisters Lois Jackson, Carolyn Wooley and Frances Wooley, and two grandsons Byron Johnson and Brandon Dunlap.

A memorial service will be held at Community of Faith, 16124 Becker, Road, Hockley, TX, 77447 at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021.
