Obituary

Douglas A. Briscoe, age 63, beloved husband, father, step-father, and grandfather, passed away in Houston, Texas on January 5, 2017.  He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois by his parents, Henry and Helen Briscoe, who predeceased him.  Doug will be forever remembered by his loving wife, Nona Briscoe; sons Tim and Brian Briscoe, of Houston, Texas; step-son Chris Artusy and grandson, Dylan, of The Woodlands, Texas; and step-daughter Wendy Carlisle and husband Luke, grandson Austin, and granddaughter Kaitlyn, of Rosenberg, Texas, and one surviving sibling William (Bill) Briscoe of Tigard, Oregon.

Doug worked 40 plus years for Basic Wire and Cable as an electrical wire and cable specialist.  He loved his wife, his kids, his grandkids, football, bowling, classic rock, gardening, showering the women in his life with flowers, Snickers candy bars, and was a master of trivial knowledge. He was a hard-working man who touched the lives of many with his fun loving and generous spirit and sense of humor. A viewing on Tuesday, January 10 from 6:00-8:00p.m. and a memorial service on Wednesday, January 11 at 2:00p.m. have been planned at Klein Funeral Home at 9719 Wortham Blvd. Houston, Texas 77065 .
