Former South Dakota and more recent Texas resident, Dorothy Syring, 86, went to be with the Lord peacefully on September 06, 2016 with her family by her side at Berean Estates Assisted Living in Magnolia, Texas.
Dorothy was born January 14, 1930 in Madison, Minnesota to the late Bernard and Sophie Welberg.
She graduated from Marietta High school in Minnesota and after her college freshman year at South Dakota State University (where she was majoring in nutrition), she married Melvin Syring at her family home on September 04, 1949.
Mrs. Syring was a beloved wife, mother and friend. Prior to her fall, she was involved in her church in Huron, South Dakota, was a member of PEO, enjoyed playing bridge with friends, loved to read and entertain.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Melvin Syring, her children Sandra Rambach (spouse Steve), Karen Syring, David Syring (spouse Natalie), three grandchildren Steven Rambach (spouse Jenni), Daniel Syring (spouse Allysa) Daniel Syring, great grandson Aiden Syring, brother James Welberg (spouse Marcie), and numerous other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at HopePointe Anglican Church-The Woodlands, Texas at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 11th.
