Dorothy Hester Weaver Evans, daughter of the late Otis Weaver and Winnie Skelton Weaver, was born on August 22, 1933, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on November 1, 2024, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 91.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Evans on August 4, 1950, and they were married for 53 years until Kenneth's passing in 2003.

Dorothy worked in food service in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District for more than 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Killough; two sisters, Georgia Hughes and Melba Barnett; two grandchildren, Stephanie Peña and Steven Theck; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Davis, Kayleigh Davis, and Elany Peña; along with many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Gaines, James Weaver, Dale Weaver, and Don Weaver, and by two sisters, Helen Bowling and Louise Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Klein Memorial Park in Tomball, Texas.
