Dorothy L. Eccles

Our sweet loving kindhearted mom closed her eyes on this earth for the last time on 11- 7-2023 and opened them for the first time in her new heavenly home.

Mom (Dot) was born with so many talents.  She sang and played the piano from a very young age.  She could craft anything she wanted, and it came out beautiful.  She could sew better than any seamstress in Hollywood.  She could cook better than any chef you would ever meet.  She didn't fish like a pro, she was the pro, catching up to 80 fish in one outing.

Mom (Dot) was as fierce as a lion when it came to her children and grandchildren.  She was a devoted wife to Dad for 57 years.  They built their dream home together and lived in Toledo Bend Texas for 26 years, A dream they both shared.  They enjoyed the simple life and enjoyed every minute of it.

Mom (Dot) is preceded in death by her husband Earl Eccles and her parents, James and Nelda Devall and her sister, Linda Sue Lebeau.  She is survived by her daughter Tawana Ogg and her husband Jim, a son Steve Eccles and his wife Tina, four grandchildren Devin Ogg and his wife Chantal, Hope Poole and her husband Kyle, Blake Eccles and his wife Andi, and Brooke Eccles.  She also has four great grandsons Bryce and Asher Ogg, Beckham Eccles, and Elliott Poole.

Our mom (Dot) will be dearly missed more than words could ever say.  She was a spunky woman, said what she meant, never met a stranger and was the strongest person you would ever meet.
