Doris J. Luetge

1936-2023

Doris Jeannette Marek "Maw" Luetge passed away peacefully in her home on December 23, 2023 at the age of 87. She was born on October 4, 1936 in Industry, Texas to Eddie and Lydia Marek. Doris enjoyed 64 years of marriage with her husband, Harris, and raised two children, Sharon Patin and Mark Luetge. The majority of her life was spent in Houston, Texas and they later relocated to Conroe. Doris worked in the banking industry for many years, starting at Houston Bank & Trust and seeing it through to become Bank of America. She served on the church council at St. Peter United Church of Christ and was known for her cookies.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harris; her parents Eddie and Lydia Marek; and her sister, Ruth Glaeser.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Patin and husband Patrick; her son Mark Luetge and wife Carol; Grandchildren, Ryan Zachry, Matthew Patin, Hayley & Robert Dugger, Dylan Patin; great-granddaughter Palmer Dugger; her sisters, Nora Dell Luetge, JoAnn Bayer, Gladys Keaton; brother in law Walter Glaeser, numerous nieces and nephews.
