Dora Hulda Domann passed peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 26, 2018. She was born to Paul and Hulda Richter on November 13, 1919 in Lexington, TX. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, TX. On June 9, 1940 she married Herbert Domann at Trinity. This union was blessed with four daughters.
Herbert and Dora spent most of their early years of marriage farming in the Lee County area and moved to Houston in 1952. Dora was a faithful member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Houston for over 50 years. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Family gatherings were very special to her, especially Christmas Eve when everyone looked forward to her delicious turkey and dressing served with lots of noodles. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great and great-great grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, three sons-in-law: Jimmie Lehmann, Richard Rucker and David Pena, and her four sisters and seven brothers.
She is survived by her 4 daughters: Carolyn Buscha and husband Bobby of Warda, TX; MaryAnn Rucker of Warda, TX; Doris Ude and husband Don of Cypress, TX; and Shirley Wright and husband Doug of Baytown, TX; and 8 grandchildren: Rhonda Iselt, Brenda Fischer, Sandra Lange, Kevin Rucker, Kelly Rucker, Kristi Joseph, Sara Melcher and Wrenn Wright. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 6 step grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandchild; 5 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
