Donna Marie Yovino Stathakos was born May 17, 1943 in Norwich, CT to Ralph and Helen (Bubelis) Yovino. When she was 11 years old, the family moved to Houston, TX. She graduated from Sam Houston State University, and then taught school at Cy Fair High School. Donna suffered from the devastating effects of ALS, and is finally free. She was known for her kindness, unselfish and abundant love she showered upon her children and grandchildren. Survivors include husband of 50 years, John Stathakos, of Cypress, TX; brother Dane Yovino and wife Donna of Montgomery, TX; daughters, Stacy Battaglia and Lisa Stathakos, both of Cypress, TX. She is also survived by her very close and dear cousin Carole Morin and husband Ron of Chattanooga, TN. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Ashlyn, Alyssa, Ryan and Gavin Battaglia and Conner Stathakos, all of Cypress, TX, as well as many, many friends.

The visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home CyFair. The celebration of life will be held June 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church. Donna will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
