Donna Jean Novak, 82, of Jersey Village, TX, passed from this life on December 22, 2025, surrounded at home by her loving family. She was born on September 24, 1943, to Emilio and Inez Bernini in Indiana, PA. Donna Jean went home to our Lord and Savior on December 22, 2025. She is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Bill, her partner of 60 years, celebrating their heavenly wedding anniversary together on December 28th.

Donna's life was anchored in love, patience, and fierce devotion to family. Raised in a traditional Italian household, she learned early that caring for others—especially through food—was both an art and a calling. Her home was a place where no one ever left hungry, rushed, or unnoticed. Lovingly known to some as "Pasta Mama," Donna fed people to show her love, and made them happy by feeding them.

Her greatest life's work was the love and care she poured into her only child, Todd. During the years her husband served in the military, Donna carried the full responsibility of home and parenting with patience, tenderness, and unwavering commitment. She was a constant presence—steady, nurturing, and deeply attentive—creating a childhood grounded in security, warmth, and unconditional love.

After her husband returned from military service, Donna went on to build a successful career, becoming a pioneering woman of her time, balancing professional achievement with the same care and integrity she brought to her family. She quietly demonstrated that strength and gentleness could live in the same person.

One cherished memory lives on in her son's heart: driving to school with Helen Reddy's "I Am Woman, I Am Strong" playing on the 8-track—an unintentional soundtrack to the woman she embodied every day.

Donna had a rare gift: she treated everyone she met as if they were already family. Her compassion knew no boundaries, her kindness came without conditions, and her presence made people feel safe, seen, and valued.

Later in life, she found profound joy as an adoring grandmother. Her three grandchildren Sofia, Gabriella and Ian were the light of her life, and she delighted in loving them completely and unapologetically.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted son Todd, his loving wife Astrid, and her three beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Novak.
