Donna Mae (Harget) Loomis
1943-2017
Donna Loomis passed away on the 22nd of February 2017. Donna was born on the 21st of December 1943 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Donald J. Harget and Fern (Lumley) Harget. A loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Donna is survived by her husband, of fifty-three years, Craig Loomis, daughter Kimberly Loomis Bardwil (Mark), sister Joanne (Axel) Dressler, granddaughter Sophia, nieces and nephews Carrie, Eric, Micheal, Kyle, Kacy and many friends that are truly family. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Don and Fern Harget, and her sisters Nancy Bernat and Vicky Kubeldis.
Donna married her high school sweetheart, Craig, on the 29th of February, 1964 having attended Logan High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Donna and Craig celebrated their 55th high school reunion together this past fall. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Donna was a teacher in both Corpus Christi and Houston for over twenty-five years. She loved sailing, traveling and her yellow labs. She was an amazing baker and made a variety of cookies each Christmas, even being featured in the 'Corpus Christi Caller Times' for her recipes that were handed down by her mother. A talented musician and singer, Donna was a member of the choir at both the Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal in Corpus Christi and St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston. She has been an active member of St. Martin's Church for the past twenty five years.
Memorial services are to be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, the 30th of March 2017, at St, Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston, Texas.
All are invited to a reception in the adjacent Bagby Hall, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Houston.
