Donna Bouillion passed away from Pancreatic Cancer Thursday September 29, 2022 in Cypress, Texas surrounded by family.

The daughter of a pipefitter and a homemaker, Donna Rita Sebastian was born March 3, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas to Forrest Donald Sebastian and Ruby Elizabeth Sebastian (Fitch). Forrest was a World War II veteran of The United States Army Air Force. Donna was raised with her sister, Norma, and brothers Forrest Jr., and Tim.

Growing up in Port Arthur, Donna was ever the middle child. She looked up to her older sister Norma and helped to care for baby brother, Tim. Donna attended Thomas Jefferson High School (TJ) where she graduated in 1964. While in high school, she was 1st chair flutist, and a proud member of the Maroon and Gold Marching Band. After she graduated from TJ, she learned secretarial skills and graduated from Port Arthur College in 1965.

Following her graduation, Donna married James Lawrence Bouillion in 1967 at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur, Texas in front of family and friends. After the mass and reception, the newlyweds spent their first night together in Houston before honeymooning in Galveston at The Commadore on the Beach. They then travelled to Lafayette, Louisiana. The couple returned to Port Arthur and to James's draft notice for military service.

James then enlisted in the U.S. Army and Donna joined her soldier in Virginia. While James was in Officer Candidate School at Fort Belvoir, she got a secretarial job in Washington D.C.. She moved in with James' army buddy Dan Goodwin's wife, Judy. They were great roommates, and the Goodwins remained life-long friends.

Before James left for Vietnam, one of their last military assignments was Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, where Kurt was born in April 1969 at Brooke Army Medical Center. James left for Vietnam in August of 1969. Donna and Kurt moved back to Port Arthur to be near family.

One of Donna's favorite memories during this time was flying on her own to meet James in Hawaii while he was on military leave. James returned home from Vietnam in August of 1970, and in March 1971 they moved into an apartment near Garden Oaks in Houston. Here, they lived by their lifelong friends from Port Arthur, the Johnsons - Jim, Margaret, Betsy, and Jay.

In May of 1973, Donna and James bought their first home in Alief, Texas right before Brad was born in August. They met many great friends on Pompano such as the Barnes, Walters, Champagnes, Siemens, Morrisons, Schmidts, and many others. Donna became fast friends with Carolyn Barnes, who was pregnant with her daughter Karen while Donna was pregnant with Brad. Terry, Carolyn, and their daughters Terrice and Karen would remain Donna's dear friends. It was also at this time that James was carpooling to work with Bill Miller. This carpool led to close friendship would lead to many Friday pizza nights and card games with Bill and Jane Miller, and summer swims at Catalina Square pool with brownies after with their daughter Darci. So much so that both families left Alief for Katy in the 1990s and were back fence neighbors for several years.

Donna went home to Port Arthur often during this time and throughout life to visit her parents. She liked to travel to see and to laugh with her sister and her brother-in-law Leroy and their daughters Charlotte and Kristin at their Ranch in Anahuac. She was the proud sister to her little brother, Tim and would often travel to Hamshire-Fannette to visit him and his wife Debbie

and their children Heather, Matt, Seth, and Monique. She loved this family time with her nieces, nephews, and their children watching them grow-up.

Donna and James built a life in Alief around their boys, and her friends. Donna truly cherished those times and those relationships. She drove carpools to school with neighborhood kids, she met the boys at home most days after school, and she cooked dinner for her family most nights. She volunteered in Kurt and Brad's classrooms at A.J. Martin Elementary where she was often a room mother. It was during this time that she met Brad's YMCA T-ball and school friend, Doug Balsam, and she and James became constant friends with his parents, Ray and Sedie.

She attended every football game, soccer match, baseball game, swim meet or whatever activity in which her boys participated. She raised money for booster clubs. She played Bunco with friends and loved that Alief life. She enjoyed going to the Astros games with her boys and would often watch the Astros on TV at home. She chose to make her vacation plans around her guys as well – often opting for week-long golf trips somewhere where she could ride along in the golf cart to watch them hack at the game and laugh at them all day.

This love that she had for her boys spilled over into her grandkids. She was a boy mom, so having granddaughters was a treat for her. She enjoyed sleepovers, tea-parties, dance parties, Old Maid and any game with Magailie and Caroline. She loved buying them American Girl Dolls at Christmas and she looked forward to getting the catalogue each year, so they could look at it together and pick out the special doll that they each wanted. She looked forward to time they spent with her and loved celebrating their birthdays and holidays – proudly watching them grow up into the women they are today.

Donna was a woman of strong faith and loved the Lord. She volunteered for many years teaching C.C.E. at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Alief. She worked in the Mother's Day out programs at Wilcrest Baptist church in Alief and later at Westheimer Baptist Church where she taught toddlers for many years. It was here that she met her close friend Bernice Hodgeson. Donna and James would later join Second Baptist Church in Houston with Bernice and her husband Bernie.

Donna was baptized at Second Baptist Church on Voss in Houston on November 20, 1999. She attended Sunday school classes, enjoyed Dr. Young's sermons, and Sunday lunches with Bernie and Bernice Hodgeson or Ray and Sedie Balsam. She later belonged to Second Baptist Church - West Campus, but she and James often attended other campuses as well.

Donna will be remembered for her legacy as a loving wife, caring mother, doting grandmother, sister, aunt, and godmother. We will remember her for sharing her faith in the Lord. We will also remember her happy, raucous laughter, her love of coffee and dessert, her playing with her grandchildren, her cooking – corn bread dressing, shrimp sauce picante, gumbo, shrimp salad, jambalaya, and brownies were all favorites. Most especially, we will remember her chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge. These will all be missed and all remembered at Christmas and other holidays.

Predeceased by her father, Forest Donald Sebastian (1989), her mother, Ruby Elizabeth Sebastian (2003), and her brother, Forrest Donald, Jr. (1953), she is survived by James, her husband of 55 years; her oldest son, Kurt of Houston and his daughter Magailie; her son Brad of Cypress, his wife Brenda, his daughter Caroline, son Manual Jr. and his son, Angel, his son David and his son Easton, and daughter Kyrsten. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Ezer and her

husband Leroy Ezer of Anahuac, her brother, Tim Sebastian and his wife Debbie of Crystal Beach, her favorite Uncle, Jimmy Fitch, and his wife Audrey of Port Arthur, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
