Donald 'Don' Richard Zeiller passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24 in Houston surrounded by his loving family.

Don was the youngest son born to Irwin and Katheryn Zeiller on January 14, 1938 in Flushing, New York. He grew up in Manhasset, New York where he graduated from Manhasset High School in 1956. He was lovingly known by his close friends as "Moose."

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1961 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Bio Chemistry.

Don held several interesting jobs while growing up – but the most important was his job as a lifeguard at Jones Beach on Long Island. Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina, he attended Dental School at Georgetown University from 1961-1963. In 1963, he joined Shell Chemical in their research lab in Union, New Jersey. He found his passion in marketing where his loyalty and very likeable personality earned him several prestigious Shell Olympian awards. He retired from Shell Chemical after a successful career spanning over 30 years. He moved to the Champions area in 1978 and has resided in this area for 45 years.

Don loved working in the garden and playing golf. Pop Pop's passion for golf has been passed down to his children and his grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents, Irwin and Katheryn Zeiller and bother Robert and sister-in-law Lyn. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Chris Ayers of Montgomery, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Steven and Dr. Laura Zeiller of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Carly, Brandon, Katie, Claire and several nieces and nephews.
