Donald Wayne Solt, age 66, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on May 14, 2025.

Born in December 1958, Donald lived through changing times but remained steadfast in what mattered most to him—his faith, his family, and the open road. A man of few words and deep loyalty, he followed his childhood dream and made a life doing what he loved: driving a big rig across the country. From coast to coast, through long nights and wide-open highways, he found freedom behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler and pride in honest work.

Donald was the proud father of three daughters, who were the light of his life and the source of his greatest joys and frustrations alike. He wore the title of "Pawpaw" with honor, and nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his five grandchildren—three granddaughters and two grandsons. Whether he was casting a line at his favorite fishing hole, tucked into a deer stand at dawn, sitting in his recliner with country music humming in the background, or watching TV with the grandkids by his side, he was content.

Raised in an era marked by hardship and resilience, Donald overcame challenges that shaped his quiet wisdom and sense of purpose. He never lost sight of what mattered most: providing for his family and staying true to himself. He was a simple man who didn't need much: a good TV show, classic country tunes on the radio, a cold Pepsi, and the sound of his grandchildren's laughter echoing through the house.

Donald leaves behind a legacy of calm strength, unconditional love, and memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.

He is survived by his three daughters: Lillian Mayo, Heather Pankratz, and Krystal Solt; his five grandchildren: Noah, Alyssa, Sophia, Cheyeann, and Luke; his siblings: Dorthy, Fred, Sharon, Karen, Roger, and Mike; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss his steady presence and silliness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian, his siblings, George and Linda Darlene, and his wife, Lisa.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at Airline Manor Baptist Church. 610 E Parker Rd. Houston, TX 77076
