Donald Ray Powers was born on May 5,1965 to Roy and Shirley Powers.  He was known to everyone as "Bubba".

Bubba attended Westbury High School and Baylor University.  He worked at Star of Hope for 22 years.  He was fortunate to be employed at a place he loved with people he loved for so many years.  A special thanks to his lifelong friend, Andrew Holmes, who he worked with for those 22 years.

In 1992 he married Jane (Martz) Powers.  Together they had one daughter, Hadley, who was the light of Bubba's life.  He was a very dedicated and loyal husband and father.

He loved the Lord and worked every day to be the Lord's disciple.

Bubba was very friendly and outgoing and could talk to just about anyone.

He enjoyed hunting and hanging out with his lifelong friend, Richie Battles, at the family property in Crockett.  He also loved watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jane Powers, his daughter, Hadley, his mother Shirley, and brother Rodney and his wife Donna and their 3 children, Bryson, Blake (wife Clara), and Blaine.  Also, his niece Ryan Hargrove Schlain (husband Ryan) and daughters Navy and Carsen.

Bubba will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to Hadley's college fund.
