We mourn the loss of Donald Pack. He will be greatly missed.
Don was a kind and compassionate family man. He was devoted to his wife and daughters and was a wonderful grandfather, brother, and son. He was supportive, loving and was always there to listen and help in any way we needed. His joyous personality was infectious and he loved telling dad jokes and teasing everyone he met.
Also known as Eagle Eye, Don led family camping trips all across Texas where he made lifelong friends. He was adventurous and loved spending time outdoors. An avid rock lover, Don would stop and fill up his car with specimens to take home and display as a way to remember family vacations and places he visited. He loved gardening and spread his joy for plants, butterflies and the outdoors to his daughters.
Don was also a man of faith, who committed himself to the church through volunteering, community and prayer.
Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barb; daughters Kathy (Alan) Long, Jennifer (Mark) Worley, and Christy Pack; granddaughters Sabrina and Lindsay Long; sister Susan (David) Bolles; brother Gary (Pam) Pack; and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Isabelle.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
