Donald A. Mengel of Houston, Texas passed away January 7, 2023.  He was born June 17, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Burton and Alverna Westbrook Mengel.  Mr. Mengel was a retired accountant and served his country proudly in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Charlene Mengel; son, Eric Mengel; daughter-in-law, Anna Nika Mengel; grandsons, Reed Mengel, Christian Mengel, and Grant Mengel; granddaughter, Audrey Mengel; brother, Hank Mengel; sister, Elaine Mengel.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Mengel and his sister, Patricia Caudill.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are asked to be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
