Donald Wayne Heit was born on November 29th, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA to Stella Hickerson & Gene Heit. Life as he lived to the fullest was peacefully taken on June 13th, 2021 due to many health issues. The man we all knew & loved very much always made such an impact & touched many many lives. He was extremely adventurous, his motto was "GO BIG OR GO HOME!". He was a man of many traits & extremely intelligent. He was a Proud Dad, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, Marine, Chef, Photographer, Mountain Man, Scouter, Hunter, animal lover, friend, mentor, and anything in between. Don loved being a dad to Marisa, first and foremost, he always said that she was his biggest blessing. Don had the best smile and it always lit up the room. Don was a faithful servant and he loved to serve others and it showed. Don received the Silver Beaver, in scouting. Don was a Vietnam Veteran, a proud Marine, and from his service he experienced health issues. Don was very generous of his time, talents, and to share his knowledge with others. He was always encouraging others to step out of their comfort zone, and experience new things. Don loved to collect things, and hang on to them and repurpose what he could and save the rest for the next project. He loved to explore new things, even if it got him in trouble sometimes. He was never afraid to accept a challenge and was always up for one. He was a man of many talents, and extremely good at all of them. Don was a man's man, with a tender heart. Don will be missed but never forgotten!!
