Obituary

Donald Frank "Donnie" Graves, 77 of Magnolia, TX passed away September 22, 2018 at home after a brief illness.
Donnie was born December 26, 1940 in Bloomington, IL to Clarence Perry and Edythe Elizabeth (Tindall) Graves. He graduated in the last class at the Old Bloomington High School in 1959. He married Doris Anne (Graham) Steinberg November 29, 1979 in Fort Myers Beach, FL.
Donnie was an avid golfer and played all over the USA and was a 50+ year member of the Moose.  He retired from GE in 1997 with 38.5 years of service with his last position managing the General Electric Supply Modification Center in Atlanta, GA. He received many GE awards including the national Silver Service Award. After that, he worked 10 years at TPC Sugarloaf Golf Course and 3 years at The Standard Club both prestigious golf courses in Georgia before he and wife moved to Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years; son, Donald Scott (Amy) Graves Leroy, IL, stepdaughter Sonia (Terry) Greiner, Houston, TX, and step-son Richard (Bridget) Steinberg, Jr. Heyworth, IL; sisters, Deborah "Debbie" Graves and Carol (Jesse) Laskowski, brother David (Peggy) Graves all of Bloomington, IL; brother-in-law Ralph Williamson of Lexington, IL and sister-in-law Wanda Graves of Bloomington, IL; Grandchildren, Zachary (Sarah) Graves Central City, Iowa, Kamryn, Kelsey, Delaney and Jed Graves, Leroy, IL, Adam (Jaclyn) Greiner, Houston, TX,  Jeremy (Kacey) Greiner, Galveston, TX, Melinda Richter, Heyworth, IL and Richard "Bill" Steinberg, Heyworth, IL; and GreatGrandchildren, Macynn Graves, Matthew Richter, Haley Richter, and Ethan Enerson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tyndall Graves and Tommy Graves, and one sister Sharon Williamson.
Donnie will be missed by his faithful wife, son, step-children, family and his many friends.
Cremation rites will be accorded.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Knights of Columbus, 1706 RT Dunn Dr., Bloomington, IL from 2pm to 4pm. Remembrances may be left at www.kleinfh.com/obituaries
