Diana Sue Walker was welcomed into the Lord's Kingdom, passing peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas, on May 31, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving husband and three daughters in her final days.

Diana (who went by "Sue" or "Susie" to her family) was born March 1, 1953, in Georgetown, Texas, to Stanford F. Lohmann and Dorothy Pearl Lohmann. In 1970, she met the love of her life, Wayne, while attending Travis High School, in Austin, Texas. It didn't take long for the two to fall in love, marrying on June 2, 1973. They traveled to Europe and Mexico, enjoyed life as a married couple, and ultimately settled down in Houston to start a family.

Diana began working as an independent art consultant in 1981 before becoming an Interior Designer with Bryan Design Associates. She eventually branched out on her own, opening her own design firm, Diana S. Walker Interior Design, in 1995. She was exceptionally talented at her job, winning several awards throughout her career. She served as President of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers and earned multiple certifications, specializing in kitchen and bath design, and high-end residential homes. She loved her work and found so much joy creating beautiful spaces for her clients, pouring into each project with passion, creativity, and incredible attention to detail.

Whenever a creative solution was needed, Diana likely had an idea and a vision to bring it to life. She helped whimsical fundraisers such as ASID's Fantasy Gala come to life, repaired homes with the United Methodist Church through UM ARMY, hand made beautiful holiday gifts for friends and family, sewed clothes and costumes for her daughters and helped them find clever ways to decorate dorm rooms and apartments. However, Diana's greatest joy is her family. She absolutely adored her husband of 52 years and the life they built together. As a wife, mother, and Nana, she was the biggest cheerleader and the best role model of strength, independence, and unconditional love. She was a present and involved parent, attending every game, concert, performance, and assembly for her children. She loved being a Nana to her grandchildren: reading, baking cookies, or doing art projects with them.

Diana is survived by her husband, Wayne Walker; daughters Amanda Wall (Eric), Rebecca Birkholz (Allan), and Melissa Quintana (Landon); father, Stanford F. Lohmann; grandchildren John Birkholz (12), Harrison Wall (11), Claire Wall (9), and Bailey Birkholz (8); and brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Pearl Lohmann; her brother, Stanford "Skipper" Lohmann; and her sister, Darla Kay Lohmann.

A memorial service for Diana will be held at Lakewood Methodist Church (11330 Louetta Road, Houston, Texas 77070) on Monday, June 23, at 10:00am. A reception will be held in Founder's Court following the service. Faith, prayer, family, and friends have sustained us during this difficult time. We are comforted in the assurance that we will one day be reunited with Diana in Heaven.
