Obituary

Carole Diana Bang Sutton was born in Bellaire, Texas on November 5, 1962, and passed away in Houston, Texas on May 4, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. Bang and Mila Mae Bang, and her brother, Robert Wayne Bang.

Diana is survived by her husband, Dennis Sutton; her children, Melissa Michele Mueck and Jonathan Christopher Bell; brothers, Robert Bang and wife Barbara Bang and John M. Bang and wife Cathy Bang; nieces, Linda Bang and husband Simon Leggett, and Michelle C. Bang; and nephews, Mike Carpenter and wife Ashley Carpenter, Robert M. Bang, John Paul Bang, and Bruce Bang and wife Camille Shea.

During her life, Diana achieved greatness. Intensely driven toward her ambitions, she left home as a teenager to forge her dream of becoming an attorney. She put herself through college at Sam Houston State University, and made the Dean's List while doing so. After completing college, she enrolled at South Texas College of Law, and upon completion of her legal education, she passed the Texas Bar Exam on her first attempt. Even with such impressive credentials and achievements, she strongly felt that her greatest accomplishment was her own children.

She spent her life using the knowledge that she'd earned to help others any time that she could. She had an infectious sense of justice and grace, and chose to spend time teaching, because she loved helping children. She meant a great deal to her students, and they meant a great deal to her.

She loved the thrill of life. She loved to laugh, she loved to dance, she loved fast cars and she loved the thrill of competition. She loved to learn. She loved God. She loved her husband, Dennis Sutton. She loved us, her friends and family.
