Dennis Alan Hicks, age 73, of Magnolia, TX, passed away Sunday night, June 5, 2016.

He was born October 28, 1942, in Burnt Oak, England, and was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Hicks. He is survived by his loving wife and very best friend of 52 years, Margaret L. Hicks; two children, Mikaela and Kent Tennison of Dallas, TX, and Samantha and Jason Mosier of Magnolia, TX; three grandchildren, Kardi Hicks, Dennis Koenig and Kira Koenig; and two great-grandchildren, Rain and Joseph.  Dennis was a loving surrogate grandfather to Lindsey Gray Nelson and Jonas Nelson of Spring, TX, and Austin Gray of Houston, TX; Lindsey's children, Caleb, Noah and Ephraim; and many other loving friends and family.

Dennis had a long and very successful career in the printing business, but his true passion was the game of golf which he shared with his grandson, Kardi. Dennis never met a stranger. He loved people and was a loyal, patient, and loving friend to many.   He always had a smile on his face and was ready to lend a hand if needed. He was witty and had a love for jokes and quirky poetry which he gladly shared with his family and friends.

We will always treasure his last poem:

To Margaret – I raise my arm to caress your knee; I love her and she loves me.
