Dennis Stephen Bailey, age 79, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. He was born on February 21, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School and went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he was a proud member of Squadron 7 and the Ross Volunteers, graduating with the Class of 1968.

Following his graduation, Dennis served his country in the U.S. Air Force for three years, including a tour in the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star. After his honorable discharge, he entered the private sector and spent most of his career working in various roles within the homebuilding industry.

In February 1990, Dennis married the love of his life, Lynne. Their relationship stood as an inspiring example of faith-filled commitment and partnership to everyone who knew them.

Dennis' Catholic faith was a guiding anchor throughout his life. As a young boy, he served as an altar boy, and later in life he volunteered generously with crisis pregnancy centers. In retirement, he served for eight+ years as Treasurer for St. Vincent De Paul Assistance Ministries, contributing to those in need was his top priority as was charity in general.

Family was everything to Dennis. He was the steady rock by which his children learned integrity, a diligent work ethic, and a grounded faith in God. His hobbies brought him joy: reading, watching crime dramas, golfing, hiking, and cheering for the Aggies at Texas A&M football games.

Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, service, faith, and family. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, James Farris Bailey and Eileen Elizabeth Bailey. As well as two of his older brothers, Jim Bailey and David Bailey.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Lynne, and 5 children: Cathi (Kevin) Hohlt, Cindy (Robert) Harris, Kim (John) Hawkins, Joshua (Ellie) Bailey, and Gabriella (Domanic) Morello. Six grandchildren: Megan (Daniel) Harris, Brittany (Sean) Rosenbaum, Taylor Harris, James Hawkins, Tyler Hawkins, Samuel Harris, Grayson Morello, and three great-grandchildren: Callen & Maddyn Harris, and Brooks Rosenbaum. He is also survived by his brother, Tom (Dede) Bailey, 6 nieces & nephews, and many wonderful friends.
