Denise was born in Syracuse, New York on March 10, 1962 to Richard and Sharon Aduddell. Before settling in Dallas in the sixth grade, she moved around with her family and spent time in Rochester, New York and Houston. She graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas in 1980. Denise was attending Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas when she had a chance meeting in 1985 in Dallas with a young man that had recently moved from Kansas to Dallas as he was beginning his professional career. It was love at first sight, and Doug and Denise were married September 5, 1987 in Dallas. Doug's career took him to Houston in 1993 where Denise became the amazing mother of two daughters, Taylor and Brooke. Doug's career then took the family to San Diego, California in 2007.
Denise was a devoted and loving wife and mother who would do anything for her family. Her daughters were the joy and blessing of her life. She cherished every minute with her girls, no matter what the occasion was. She loved the family gathering at Thanksgiving and Christmas with her parents and brother, when she and her mother would cook enough food to feed four times the number of guests. At Christmas, she turned the house into a Christmas wonderland, and she loved to decorate the house for every season and all holidays. One of her favorite times of the year was the annual Halloween costume party she hosted when no one was admitted without being in full costume. She loved to dress in costume and entertain. She also loved to dress up and attend formal events throughout the years in Houston and San Diego.
Denise was extremely proud that her daughters could be completely honest and candid with her. She ensured her girls felt comfortable talking about anything, and she would be there for counsel, guidance, or just to lend a listening ear. Denise loved her friends like family and made so many over the years. Everyone who interacted with Denise said she was bigger than life and would make any room she entered a brighter, happier, and friendlier place. She wanted everyone to have a good time and prided herself in making people laugh and keeping the mood lite and entertaining. She was a kid at heart who loved her kids as well as every kid whose path she crossed. She loved all animals, and especially her Brittany, Cookie, and Brownie in addition to Casey and Bogey whom she loved to walk in the San Diego neighborhood.
Denise was preceded by her parents, Richard and Sharon Aduddell, and her brother, Robert Aduddell. She is survived by her husband, Doug Regnier, her daughters Taylor and Brooke Regnier, her aunt, Barbara Wise, her sister in-law, Jodi Tasior, her brother and sister in-law, David and Kim Regnier, her sister in-law, Lisa Aduddell, her father in-law, Sid Regnier, and mother in-law, Sharon Regnier.
