It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Denise Brown, known lovingly as "Denise," who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 45, surrounded by her loved ones.

Denise was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She is survived by her two daughters, Courtney Battles and Katie Battles, along with their father, Jeramie Battles; her mother, Sherry Brown; her father, Ray Brown and his wife, Diane Brown; her beloved sisters, Cindy Doud and her husband Jason Doud and Kim Collins and her husband Buddy Collins. She was also a cherished aunt to her nephews, Ryan Collins, Justin Doud, and Dru Douglas. Denise was adored by her extended family, including her aunts and uncles—Marsha Dastous, Barbara Bradford, Kathy Elliott, Rhonda DeSosa, and Ronnie Preston—and her cousins, Jeni Black (husband Zack Black) and others.  Her chosen family included Leanne Doud, who supported her with love and care as a mother would, and many other family members and friends.

Denise had a deep love for her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She had a passion for traveling and creating lasting memories on trips with her loved ones. Her warm heart and laughter will always be remembered, especially as she bonded over watching her beloved Houston Astros—her loyalty to the team was unmatched. Above all, Denise found joy in simply being wherever her family was, and she made every gathering brighter with her presence.

Denise's kindness, strength, and infectious spirit touched all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball on June 25, 2025.
