Delphine Ruth Wunderlich Kleb, 77, went to be with her heavenly Father July 30, 2018 in Spring, Texas. Della was born June 4, 1941 in Klein, Texas to Glenn "Jack" and Florence Hildebrandt Wunderlich, in their home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifton Kleb, and brothers Berton and Nolan Wunderlich. She is survived by her loving son and daughter, Kevin Kleb and Sharyl Emert, daughter-in-law Melissa Kleb, son-in-law Danel Emert; grandsons Chase Sanders, Brian Kleb and Kane Emert, granddaughter Karis Emert, sisters Kiness Wunderlich Kett and Valerie Wunderlich Bosley, along with numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

Della was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, being baptized and confirmed there, attending Trinity's day school through 8th grade.  Her childhood was spent playing outdoors with her cousins and neighbors, whom she loved, and working on the family farm. She was very close to her paternal grandparents who lived next door. As a teenager attending Klein High School, she was very friendly and popular, cheerleading and playing basketball. She always treasured being part of the Trinity family and Klein community. She married Clifton on August 1, 1959, becoming his help-mate with their dairy farm. She held various part-time jobs throughout the years, including waitressing at Lakeside Café and as a clerk at SuperX drugstore. She took a full time job in 1979 as an accounting clerk for Klein ISD, retiring in 2002. She made a multitude of friends there, becoming a member of the "Klein Postscripts", an organization of Klein retirees made up the most awesome, friendly, supportive women you could ever meet! Della enjoyed parties and dancing, and was good at sewing, cooking and gardening. She liked reading novels and listening to country music, and enjoyed hunting deer and fishing as well. She and Clifton owned property in the country and spent many weekends there relaxing and tending cattle. She cherished trips to the beach, making at least one every summer with friends and/or relatives. Her senior school trip to Galveston was one of her best memories. Children came in 1962 and 1965, Kevin followed by Sharyl.  She was the best type of mother, combining equal doses of love, nurture, teaching, discipline and fun!  She was the cornerstone of the home, doing whatever necessary to provide for her family, instilling values and character in her children, leading by example. When grandchildren arrived, "Granny" took on her job with great gusto. Her grandkids became the focus of her life, and she loved them with all her heart and soul. She was the type that would get down on the floor and play with the kids and let them get dirty outside. She was very involved with all of them, loved doing things with and for them, and enjoyed attending all the activities and events they were involved in.

The latter years of her life were difficult. A terminal illness beset Clifton, requiring a lot of time and effort to deal with, but with the determination that defined her, she devotedly cared for him until February, 2009 when a devastating stroke took her ability to function and communicate properly. As expected, she met this challenge head on, determined to become mobile again and take care of herself, even if only on a limited basis. Through it all, she never lost that wonderful, kind, upbeat personality. She was happiest being around people, greeting everyone with a smile and affection.

Today she sings again, loudly and clearly, before God's throne.
