Obituary

Dolores Mae Konvicka Hayley was born in Houston, Texas on December 16, 1936 and passed away in Tomball, Texas on June 9, 2025.

A proud, lifelong Houstonian, she grew up in the West End, graduated from Reagan High School where she was a Reagan Red Coat. She started her career at Humble Oil now Exxon Mobile, and worked there for almost 15 years and then landed at Kaiser Aluminum for 20+ years.  One of her notable accomplishments was receiving a First Runner-Up trophy in The Ms. Humble Pageant.

Dolores always loved a great party with dancing and singing, a fabulous cocktail or two and decadent desserts! She enjoyed talking to her lifelong friends, being surrounded by family that loved her spunky ways. She treasured her grandkids and they will always remember how much she absolutely adored them.

Delores will be fondly remembered for many things.  Here are a few examples of our favorite ones: Delores's famous Shrimp Dip that was never the same twice; her love of sequined Christmas Sweatshirts; her knack of buying or regifting unique gifts (for example,Freeze-Dried Astronaut Food!); her absolute love of sports, especially the Astros, Oilers, Rockets, golf and tennis; a huge collection of cookbooks even though she self-professed "she's a terrible cook!" and last, but not least, her appreciation of a nice glass of scotch with a lemon twist.  The list goes on, but we just wanted to share some fun facts about our Lo Lo!

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Konvicka; her brother, Robert Konvicka and wife, Kathy.

She is survived by her son, William (Billy) Pullen and his wife, Tracy; her grandchildren, Sean, Bryce and Eryn Pullen; her sister, Bobbie Jean Froehlich, and her husband, Gilbert; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas on July 10, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM. The family would love to share this celebration of life with you. Please come in colorful and bright attire, Dolores fancied the bright and happy colors paired with her bright pink lipstick.
