Debbie was born March 24, 1962, in Alice, Texas as the middle child of Charles and Frances Kent.  The family moved to Bellaire, where she developed the feeling of being a humble small town girl. Debbie was a very selfless, caring person; she truly put everyone else in front of herself in thought and giving.   She was christened in the Catholic Church and faithfully raised her kids in the church.

She discovered a career in Human Resources, it was a perfect fit for her interests and passion.  Her career was cut short as she took on the battle of breast cancer, followed by a brain tumor.   She met her challenge with tenacity and hope.  In 2016 she passed the ten year mile marker with, finally, no signs of cancer in her body, but she succumbed ultimately to fatigue from the battle.

Debbie and her first husband were blessed with two amazing children, Meghan and Kent, now both active duty Sergeants in the Army.  Debbie and her older brother Bobby were kindred spirits and became close.  Bobby married Robin and the families grew in their relationship and commitment to honor the values instilled in them by their parents.  She was a consummate grandmother; her grandson Donovan provided her unbridled joy and the hope that through this amazing 11 year old there was a bright future for him and humanity.

She met Brian in 1989 and they were married in 2008.  They developed a level of mutual admiration and respect for one another coupled with humor which could be the envy of any married couple.    They enjoyed limited travel as permitted by Debbie's health and the demands of life.  Over the course of life she expressed herself through art.  She was quite creative; she leaves an extensive collection for the enjoyment of her family

Preceded in death by her father.  Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Brian Haas; her daughter and spouse, Meghan and Fran; her son Kent, her mother, Francis Kent, her brother and his wife, Bobby and Robin Kent, her sister, Linda.  The family would like to express their gratitude to a host of care providers; physicians, nurses and so many more for all of their care and support during this most difficult time.
