Debora Leigh Niklas, 66, native Houstonian, peacefully passed away on March 4th, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

On January 31st, 1981 she married the love of her life, Louis Niklas II. Debora and Louis had been childhood friends which blossomed into a lasting and loving marriage.

As an accomplished self-taught seamstress and interior designer, she enjoyed creating art through the use of fabrics for her numerous clients. Throughout the years she expressed joy in decorating her own home for many different holidays and family gatherings. She was always delighted to cook for family and friends making any occasion special.

As an animal lover, she enjoyed the added company of her English bulldogs and boxers during family vacations. In her later years, she experienced other vacations with her grandchildren and loved sharing their excitements.

Debora was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Donna Niklas.

Debora is survived by her loving husband, Louis Niklas II; daughter Dorothy and son-in-law Richard Goad; son Michael Niklas and fiancé Becca Moulder; son Louis and daughter-in-law Sarah Niklas; and grandchildren Ryan, Caitlynn, Trevor, Connor, Cheyenne, William, Sidney, Lillian, and Elizabeth.

Visitation will be held on March 7th, 2018 from 5:00p to 8:00p at the Klein Funeral Home located at 9719 Wortham Boulevard in Houston, Texas. The funeral service will be held on March 8th, 2018 at 12:00p at Epiphany Lutheran Church located at 14423 West Road in Houston, Texas. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery located at 1101 Antoine Drive in Houston, Texas.

A memorial donation may be provided to Epiphany Lutheran Church to continue the blessings and memories of Debora Niklas.
