Debi Anastase, born June 26, 1958, in Rockford, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Debi was a woman of deep and unwavering faith who loved the Lord wholeheartedly. Her strength was unmatched, and she faced life with a quiet resilience that inspired everyone around her. She had a rare and beautiful way of loving people exactly as they were—without judgment and without expectation—offering grace and kindness freely to all who knew her.

Above all else, Debi was the heart of her family and friends —the glue that held everyone together. To her daughter, she was not only a devoted mother but also a best friend and constant source of strength. She was someone you could always count on, no matter the circumstance, and her love and presence brought comfort, stability, and unity to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Andrew Anastase.

Debi is survived by her daughter, MaKayla Gaines (Stowell), her son-in-law, Zach Gaines, and her beloved grandson, Tucker Gaines, who is expected to arrive in early July. She is also survived by her brothers, Jim and Steve Anastase.

A celebration of life will take place later this year.

Debi's love, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered always.
