Obituary

Dawne Marie Doxey, of Cypress Texas, departed our world December 12th, 2022. She was 54 years old and was born in New London, Connecticut in October of 1968.

She is Survived by her husband, Ed; her three children, Adam, Ryan, and Samantha Doxey; and her mother and partner, Connie Pandolfe and Robert Pritchard. She also has several loved aunts, uncles, and cousins from both sides of her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Christopher Bard.

Dawne graduated from Vinyl Technical High School in 1986 and Greater New Haven Technical College in 1988. She started her professional career at Teleco Oilfield Services and worked in Meriden, Connecticut, until 1992 when she moved to Texas after merging with Baker Hughes. It was here that she met and later married her husband, Ed. Over the course of her 31 years with Teleco and Baker Hughes, she supported Inteq, Atlas, and, lastly, BOT product lines. After leaving Baker Hughes in 2020 she joined Hisco where she enjoyed working with her new coworkers very much.

Dawne was very involved with her three children in school and their hobbies. She saw her two boys become Eagle Scouts and nurtured a love for nature and the outdoors. She loved being part of her daughters' Color Guard and their performances. She enjoyed cooking competitively with her friends and family, made countless memories, and won several awards. She loved the outdoors and the time her family would spend at the deer lease and, later on, at her own property in Brady, Texas. She loved going to Block Island when she would take vacations to Connecticut to see her family and friends. She particularly liked to take sunset photos from as many different places that she could. She was also very much a pet person and loved her four cats Sebastian, Wildfire, Momma, and Tink, as well as her Jack Russell Terrier, Toby.

Unfortunately, Dawne did not find out about her cancer until it was far too late to fight. She lost this fight with her family and close family friend, Carol LaHaie, by her side.

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston. A memorial service celebrating Dawne's life will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
