Obituary

Dawn Melody Oliver of Magnolia, Texas entered eternal rest, joining her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2022. She was born on May 8, 1932 to Frederick and Fay Connell in Sugarland Texas. Dawn was loved by all who knew her and she made many friends throughout her lifetime. She will be missed by her family and the many friends who had the honor of her friendship.

Dawn grew up in Baytown, Texas and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1950. She married John H. Oliver and they moved to Uvalde, Texas to purchase a jewelry business. After several successful years in business on the Town Square, the City of Uvalde began a renovation of the Historic 1891 Uvalde Grand Opera House. John and Dawn leased the bottom story of the Opera House for their business and Dawn decorated the jewelry store in the vintage beauty of 1891 Victorian décor. After successfully growing the business for 25 years, they retired and moved to Marble Falls where they enjoyed the beauty of the Texas Hill Country for the majority of their retirement. She recently resided in Magnolia, Texas.
