Davlyn W. Keener passed away from this life to be with her Lord on May 29, 2024. Davlyn was born on May 14, 1935 to Dave and Lillian Whitten in Houston, Texas. As a native Houstonian she graduated from Milby High School in 1953 and worked for Tennessee Gas Transmission Company until 1961. During that time she met and married her loving husband B. J. "Pat" Keener in 1956. After raising two children, she re-entered the work force in 1985 and enjoyed working as a Bridal Consultant for seven years.

Davlyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devout Christian with a very strong faith. She had a talent for music, sang in church choirs since her youth, worked with church missions, was an Angel on Earth having an unconditional love for all her family and friends. She was a center of comfort for her family, prayed for their safety, health and welfare, a great listener, provided encouragement, a very giving person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was also a very gifted homemaker, having talents in selecting beautiful fabric design and sewing, home interior decorating, elegant party hosting, fabulous food preparation and outside gardening. She also loved to read and travel. She will be missed in this life by all her family and friends but will await us in the next.

Davlyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Pat Keener; her loving daughter, Michele L. Keener Of New York City, New York; her cherished grandchildren, Ryan Patrick Keener and wife Ashley Keener, and Kylie Allysa Forte and husband Aaron Forte of Wharton, Texas; great-grandchildren Allison Fojtik, Elizabeth Keener, and Indigo Forte; sister, Margery Flowers and husband Kenneth of Kingsland, Texas; daughter-in-law Brenda Keener and numerous nephews and nieces.

She is predeceased by her son, Gregory Keener of Wharton, Texas; sister Betty Lowe of Houston, Texas; and parents, Dave and Lillian Whitten of Kingsland, Texas.

The family will receive friends and visitors at Klein Funeral Home Tomball at 1400 W. Main St. on Thursday June 6, 2024 from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on June 7, 2024 at Champion Forest Baptist Church at 15555 Stuebner Airline, Houston, Texas, at 2 PM with the Reverend Brent Johnson officiating. Internment to follow at Spring-Klein Memorial Park Cemetery at 9714 FM 2920 in Tomball, Texas.
