Tomball, Texas – On Saturday, January 30, 2021 David Vincent Wilson passed away at the age of 52 after a long, hard fought battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

He was born in Winchester, Virginia to Maynard and Judy (Clemons) Wilson. He grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and later in York, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Central Senior High School in 1987. He went on to join the US Army Corp of Engineers, 101st Airborne. He was in the Gulf War and served until 1991. He went back to school and graduated with his Bachelor's degree from James Madison University in Virginia in 2004.

David moved to Texas soon after graduation. Here, he found the love of his life, Nguyen Pham, after approaching her in a grocery store and telling her how beautiful he thought she was. He worked primarily in sales until he was stricken with his devastating illness.

He was devoted to Nguyen and their two children, Grace (7) and Vincent (4). His family meant the world to him and was the reason why he fought his illness as long as he did.

David never met a stranger. He was accepted into his wife's Vietnamese family with open arms even if he never did learn their language. He was outgoing, funny, sarcastic and loved a party. He never wanted to be left out of anything.

He was a member of Saint Maximilian Kolbe as well as Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, churches that his wife introduced him to and where he strengthened his relationship with God. We will be forever thankful for this.

David was cared for by two angels, Ms. Raquel Rhone and Ms. Uranas Carter, who were by his side until the end. Words cannot express how much they meant to him and to us.

He will be sorely missed by all that have known and loved him.

David is survived by his wife, Nguyen, his children Grace and Vincent, his father Maynard Vincent Wilson, his mother Judy Clemons Wilson, his sister Sherry Wilson Ball and her husband Kevin, his sister Deborah Wilson Miller and her husband Mark, his beloved in-laws Mr. Pham Gia Thuy and Mrs. Pham Thi Nguoi, his sister-in-law Tran Pham, his niece Kelly Ball and his nephews Casey Ball and wife Rylee, Reed Miller, Matthew Miller and Nicholas Miller as well as many cousins he deeply loved.

A vigil service will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main, Tomball, Texas Thursday evening, February 4 at 5 pm CST. Visiting hours will be 5:30 pm – 8 pm CST.

A Catholic Mass will be held in his honor on Friday, February 5 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 6550 Fairbanks North Houston Rd, Houston, Texas at 10:30 am CST. The mass will be live streamed.

A graveside service will take place following the mass, at 12:45 pm CST at the Houston National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life service will be held and live streamed on Saturday, February 6 at 2 pm CST.
