David was loved by so many, and will be deeply missed. He was a very hard-working and driven man that was kind-hearted and loved his family. Originally born in Pryor, OK, and he grew up in Welch, OK, prior to moving to Houston as an adult, to work at a family owned and operated business, owned by his uncle, Frank Kay. He continued to work for Texmark for many years until the company was sold. David eventually started his own business, Universal Conveyor & Construction. He took great pride in his work and his business.
David is survived by his wife, Neyda Walker. They were married for 25 loving years. He is also survived by his mother, Rosalea (Kay) Cole. He is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Kay James and an infant brother, Frankie Dale Walker. David is also survived by his 2 children, Melodie Ballard and Taron Snyder, and 3 step-children, Carolina Sabatino, Pedro Pedrique and Lorena Rodriguez. He also has 3 grandchildren, Isabel Ballard, Tristan Ballard and Alex Snyder, as well as 6 step-grandchildren, Maria Daniela Pedrique, Pedro Pedrique, Daniel Sabatino, Victoria Rodriguez, Julia Pedrique and Gabriel Rodriguez. David was very family-oriented and loved being with his family, whether that was through travel, fishing, riding on his boat, grilling outside or just being with one another when we were able to be together. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
*Please note that due to the current pandemic situation, the service will be a very small gathering celebrating his life with close family. We hope you understand. If you would like to send flowers, please feel free to send them to the funeral home.
