David Lee Vincent, 80, of Buffalo, Texas, passed away at home May 22, 2021. David Lee Vincent was born April 15, 1941 in Houston, Texas, to Claude Wallace and Rosa Mae Gears Vincent.
He served his country from October 23, 1965, to October 27, 1969, aboard the Navy's USS Adroit 509 ocean mine sweeper during the Vietnam war. David worked many years for Enron Corporation, retiring in 1993, when he moved to Buffalo, Texas, and went into the hay business.
David was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Ruth Helen Vincent, his parents Claude Wallace and Rosa Mae Vincent, Brothers Claude (Boots) Vincent and sister Barbara Jean Manning, great granddaughter Elizabeth Mackowiak. Surviving family members include daughters Ruth A. Conger, Mary McCord, daughter and son-in-law Kathleen M. and Richard R. Mackowiak. Five grand children, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. We will miss his smile, laugh and wonderful bear hugs.
