Obituary

David Wayne Toney, loving son, brother, husband to Linda, proud father, and beloved Poppy to his two grandchildren, passed away on November 4, 2020 at age 58.
David was born July 16, 1962 in Houston, Texas. He and Linda met their 7th grade year of school and remained friends until they began dating their sophomore year of high school. David went on to graduate from Texas A&M, class of 1984 with a Bachelors in Business Management. David and Linda married soon after his graduation in 1984 and David began his career in Property Management. After several years David realized his interest was in Construction which led to the founding of Toney Construction Services in 1994. Over the 26 years that Toney Construction has been in business it has evolved into a tightly knit family company. David always valued his employees and insisted on treating them as family.

David's greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. He enjoyed hosting family get-togethers and spending time with family. One of David's favorite loves was building a place for family and friends to be able to gather and enjoy, which was his home on Kitzman Road. David shared a love for fast cars, which is evident in his kids and grandkids. He was collecting riding toys for his grandchildren before they were even born, which led to a special bond between him and his oldest grandson.
David left a Legacy of caring for others no matter what they need. He was very active in many Christian ministries and was always willing to lend a hand. David shared his love for Kitzman by opening it up for use by Christian Ministries.
David's hobbies included riding his Harley, driving fast cars and traveling with friends and family. David received his first motorcycle at 8 years old and through his 58 year he always owned motorcycles. If he wasn't on a bike you could find him behind the wheel of any fast car. His love for travel took the family to many places, his favorite place being Puerto Vallarta, which he and Linda loved to share with family and friends.

David is survived by his mother, Leah Toney; loving wife, Linda Toney; Sister, Teresa Triplett, and her children, Sara Stacey and Brent Triplett; his son Derek Toney, and his wife Ashleigh Toney; his grandchildren, Brett and Caden Toney; his daughter Michelle Templeton and her husband Ryan Templeton; his daughter, Melissa Toney; and his in laws, Bill and Alice Jackson, and sister in law, Debbie Teltschick.
