David Wayne Reinkemeyer passed away peacefully from ALS in his home on the morning of Tuesday, June 21 st , 2016 at the age of 64. David was the first born of Leo Robert Reinkemeyer and Theresa Chandler Reinkemeyer. David spent his career in the oil and gas industry. He grew up in Arkansas, City Kansas. David attended Cowley County Community College on a basketball scholarship and was a proud graduate of Kansas State University. David was Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 10861 and was the Faithful Navigator of the Ledr. Joseph T. O'Callahan Assembly.

David enjoyed being with his family and friends. He spent his time fishing, camping, hunting, cooking and traveling. David was a faithful servant and steward everywhere he went, from St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church to Boy Scouts, or a stranger on the road. He had a patriotic heart and found pleasure in serving our veterans. David demonstrated how to not only to love family, but to anyone that crosses his path.

David is survived by his wife, Diane Baerg Reinkemeyer, his sisters Nancy Diebel and Ann Stites, his brothers James Reinkemeyer and Philip Reinkemeyer, his children Eric (Jill) Reinkemeyer, Sarah (Joel) Reichling, Greg (Megan) Reinkemeyer and grandchildren Anna Reichling, Alyssa Reinkemeyer, Abigail Reichling, Ashley Reichling, Colton Reinkemeyer, Jace Reinkemeyer and Ella Reinkemeyer, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. All of whom will miss his wonderful sense of humor, infectious laugh and big smile.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 24 th , 2016 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, Texas with Very Rev. Norbert Maduzia, Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday evening with a private family viewing from 4pm-5pm, public from 5pm-8pm with a rosary vigil at 7pm.
