David Reuben Quinn entered eternal life with Jesus on Friday, November 3rd, 2023.

He was born on July 2, 1946, in Logansport, Indiana to Harry E. Quinn and Ruby J Rice Quinn. He grew up running through the fields on the family farm with his siblings before graduating from Logansport High School and Kansas State University with a degree in architecture. His design work can be found in hotels, businesses, and family homes all over the world.

David was also very active in his community. After moving to Texas in 1970, he served on the board of Northwest Assistance Ministries. He donated his time to design their headquarters, for which they named the food pantry after him. For many years he built art sculptures out of food cans for their annual Art for the Hungry event. He helped to build Tomball's Jerry Matheson Park. He was an avid Rotarian, serving as President of Willowbrook Rotary Club and Governors Representative for District 5890. He served on Tomball's City Council Position 1 from 2005 – 2011, where he was elected Mayor Pro-Tem. He was selected as Tomball's Citizen of the Year in 2009.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, and with them took part in two overseas mission trips to Africa, which he loved. He was a keen hunter, and a state champion tomahawk and knife thrower. He has travelled to every continent on the globe.

David was a wonderful father and family man. He helped build many high school theater sets, took part in community theater performances, worked on various school projects, drew doodles on every birthday card, and went to countless swim meets and drill team performances.

In his later years he could frequently be found at The Nook Grill on Main Street in Tomball, Texas, making friends with anyone who came in the door for breakfast.

David was a man with a gentle heart, generous spirit, sly humor, and quiet wisdom. His loss is keenly felt by anyone who knew him. He loved deeply, and we loved him deeply.

He is being welcomed in heaven by his parents and his siblings - Harold Quinn, Eileen Quinn Sommers, and Rebecca Quinn. He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Lori Klein Quinn, his four daughters, Diana Wildermuth, Stephanie Mogell, Eryn Quinn, J Tayler Quinn, and their families, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, TX on Saturday, November 11th from 4pm – 7pm. A memorial service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 12th, 2023, at 3pm. In his honor donations can be made to the Salem Lutheran Church Heart for Honduras fund.
