David Pinkerton lived his life in full color, with a booming voice, a quick wit, and a heart that drew people in wherever he went. He never met a stranger—only future friends waiting to hear one of his stories or jokes.
Born on October 12, 1950, David led a life as bold and varied as the man himself. He was a scuba diver, musician, pilot, motorcycle rider, actor, artist, teacher, private investigator, diamond broker, and insurance salesman—and, above all, a devoted father. He found joy in every adventure, whether sailing the open waters, playing music, or making someone laugh.
After years of battling health challenges, David passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, following a brief hospital stay after a fall. His strength and humor never wavered, even in the hardest moments.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman "Pinky" and Zelma "Margo" Pinkerton, and his son Derrick Pinkerton. He is survived by his daughter Sean and her husband Charles, and their children Ava and Evan; his son James and his wife Hailey; and his son Patrick.
David was larger than life and loved his children fiercely. His laughter, creativity, and boundless curiosity will echo in the hearts of those who loved him—and in every story told in his honor.
