David James Overton passed away surrounded by family on February 22, 2025. David was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 23, 1958, and later moved to Houston, Texas where he married Leslie Overton and raised their two daughters. David worked in the Oil and Gas industry for over 30 years. He was well-known and admired within the industry and played a large role in starting a successful multinational company. David enjoyed spending time with family, playing golf, cooking, and watching sports. His gentle nature, humor, and selfless support will be dearly missed.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Shirley Overton and sister, Karen Green. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Leslie Overton; children Brittany (Charles) Imbelli and Chelsea (Taylor) Culpepper; grandchildren Frankie Imbelli and Leo Culpepper; his siblings Kim (Bob) Brown and Kelly (Sebastian) Gerletti, along with many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, March 21 at 10:30 am in the main church, with a reception to follow at Longwood Golf Club from 12 pm to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
