Dave was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan to the late Harry and Marian (Nowiski) Mausolf.

Dave and Marcia (Frenzel) were united in marriage on April 15, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan. They would have celebrated their 55 ^th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2022. They enjoyed travelling, especially to Mackinaw Island, Michigan and cruising around the Caribbean.

Dave retired from mechanical engineering after 40 years of service. He was a member of Blackhorse Golf Club and he played 2-3 times every week with his buddies. He was also a member of the Gulf Coast Woodturners, and spent hours in his workshop creating beautiful and unique works of art. His favorite past-time was spending time with family where he was known as "Poppy" to his six grandchildren who adored him. Dave also loved gardening and belonged to the Cypress Creek Garden Club. He was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Dave is survived by his wife, Marcia of Cypress, Texas and his two daughters – Kim (Scott) Miller of Katy, TX., Tami (Robert) Casteel of Houston, TX., six grandchildren: Riley, Avery, and Cohen Miller, and Emerson, Berit, and Ian Casteel; and two sisters, Marlene (Gordon) Klee and Lois (Dave) Korbel, and sister-in-laws: Audrey Holdwick, Sharon Mausolf, and by his many friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Genevieve (Robert) Schroeder, Larry Mausolf, Dale Mausolf, Gary Mausolf, and Helen Mausolf.

Our Journey supports Everyday Opportunities, a day program for adults with IDD, and Camp Journey, a year-round camp program that tailors activities to adults and children with IDD.
