Obituary

A lifetime of love and adventures. Always a smile on his face and a gleam in his bright eyes. Never met a stranger, the biggest friend and always generous to everyone. The greatest husband, father, Papa, brother. David Michael, you are treasured and loved beyond measure. We will always keep you in our hearts and our prayers. David Michael Lopez, the oldest of six children born to Miguel and Aida Lopez, grew up in Texas and New Mexico. He stayed active in all the fun and adventures of his huge, loving family. He lived a full life, always ready for whatever came his way. David Michael never stopped smiling and encouraging his family to be strong and stay the course. He rests now with the Lord, who provides for all our needs and who is our comfort. He will always be remembered, with a smile on our faces, by his huge loving family. He is survived by his beloved and beautiful wife Debi, son Stephen (Emily Knippel and her mother Susan), daughter Robin (Bill Finkenkeller and his parents Jim and Eileen) and grandchildren Michael, Elisabeth, Rose and Gabriel; his siblings Daniel, Dianna (Bill Furlan), Richard (Sandra), Diego (Lisa), and Rosanna (Paul Gilliam); his wife's Aunt Beverly Cook, and siblings Danny Cochran (Sue) and Keith Cochran (Brenda); his aunts and uncles, Carolyn (Joe Casas), Carmela Cantoya, Albert Jasso (Lydia), Frank (Cecilia), Jenny (Fernando Arangua) and Aunt Dorothy Jasso; nieces, nephews, in-laws and outlaws, and numerous cousins, longtime friends and their families. Sail, Relax, Explore. Live life to the fullest, and carry David Michael with you wherever you go.
