David Bryan Franklin, a faithful servant
This wonderful man graduated to heaven on July 18, 2016. It was way too soon, but we know he is rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. David was born in Seminole, OK and lived in Elk City, OK through high school. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University for 2 years and graduated from Oklahoma University. All who knew him were quite aware of his Boomer Sooner loyalty. David worked in finance for most of his career. His last job was as a Klein ISD bus driver. He was always ready with a pun, and was passionate about WWII history.
David had a servant's heart as demonstrated in the way he took care of his family and how he served in his church. The ways he served his family are too numerous to list. He was the strength that kept the family going, with his faith, peace and stability. His father in the faith was John Greiner, the Pastor at Glorious Way Church. Here he served as an usher, served on the security team and played the drums on the praise team.
David and Nancy just celebrated their 31 st wedding anniversary, and every year their love grew stronger. He was not only a loyal husband, but he was also a wonderful father to their children, Jason (29) and Lauren (20). His legacy will live on through them. His selflessness was exhibited by always putting others first. As happy as we are for him to have arrived in Glory, his death is hard to bear. Knowing the void is there, we look forward to reuniting with him again in Heaven.
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
