Our loving husband, father, and friend David Russell Evans, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his Dallas home at the age of 86, surrounded by his wife and children. David was a lifelong resident of Texas, living most of his life in North Houston, Spring and Klein Community.  He moved to the Dallas area four years ago so that he and Beverly could be closer to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David was a graduate of Klein High School's class of 1952 and a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Klein, Texas.  He was a master woodcraftsman.

David was preceded in death by his parents R.T. and Mayme Belle Evans, his younger brother Raymond Bruce Evans, and his daughter-in-law Jami Jones Evans.

He is survived by his wonderful and caring wife Beverly Roland Evans with whom he was married for 66 years, son David R. Evans, Jr. and wife Suzonne, his daughter Jeanene A. Evans and husband Elliott Shetterly, and son R. Paul Evans; his grandson David R. Evans, III (Trey) and wife Arlene, grandson Brent Evans and wife Kristen, granddaughter Megan Palmer and husband Andrew, grandson Sean Evans and great-granddaughters Olivia and Madeline Palmer; his brother R. Kent Evans and wife Laura, sister-in-law Linda Evans and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring (Klein) Texas.
