David Elton Carley, 81, of Houston, passed away on January 19, 2022.  He was born on January 9, 1941 in Harwood, Texas to George and Addie Mae Carley and was the youngest of eleven children.  While serving in the air national guard in Denver in 1960, he met Jane Schriock and they were married just a few months later.  They were married for 61 years and had four sons, Curtis, Kevin, Keith, and Chris.  David joined the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an electronics technician and moved his family to Houston in 1971.  He had a successful career with the FAA and retired with over 40 years of government service.

David and Jane were founding members of Generations Church in 1984 (originally Grace Christian Fellowship) where they remained faithful members and led evangelism training classes.  David loved spending time with his family and found great joy in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife Jane, son Curtis and wife Sylvia, son Kevin and wife Sherry, son Keith and wife Jan, son Chris and wife Sofia, grandchildren Jason Carley and wife Erika, Katelyn Wisnowski and husband Chris, Megan Hearne and husband Tanner, Ryan Carley and wife Brooke, Kyle Carley, and Justin Carley, and great grandchildren Ashlyn Wisnowski, Oliver Hearne, Ryder Carley, Scout Carley, Levi Hearne, Emelia Wisnowski, Koda Carley, and Layana Hearne, and brother Elmer "Bud" and wife June Carley, nieces and nephews.
