Darwin Glenn Staton, Sr. was born in Wells, Texas on July 1, 1939, and passed away in Houston, Texas on May 11, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Staton, and his son, Darwin Staton, Jr. "Bubba".

Darwin is survived by his daughter, Dianna Mouret and son-in-law, Eddie Mouret; granddaughters, Krista Maas, Janna Mouret, and Keagan Mouret; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Trivett, Avery Maas, Colton Maas, and Cooper Maas; brother, Larry Staton and wife Ruth; nephews, Don Staton and Jack Staton; and niece, Kimberly Higgins.
