Obituary

Daniel Joseph Kuehn went to be with the Lord and passed peacefully on November 11, 2021 at the age of 78 surrounded by his loving family.

A native Houstonian, Danny was born on September 4, 1943 to Edwin Fred Kuehn and Dorothy Irene Boroski.  He attended St. Anne's Elementary School in Houston and St. Thomas High School where he played numerous sports.  He graduated from the University of St. Thomas and that is where he met his beloved wife, Carol.

Danny was a good and kind man who was welcoming to everyone.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and godfather.  He worked many jobs in his lifetime to provide for his family; his last job was being a truck driver for JB Hunt Transport.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Betty Ruthstrom, and his brothers, Charles, David, and John, and by his granddaughter, Hannah Kaspar.

Danny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol; by his 10 children and their spouses:  Karen Kaspar and son-in-law Brian; Dan Kuehn; Sharon Holcomb and son-in-law Wesley, Chris Kuehn and daughter-in-law Susan; Steve Kuehn and his fiance Heather Allee; John Kuehn; Matt Kuehn and his fiance Hilary Crucet; Theresa Haynes and son-in-law Chris; Colleen Salinas and son-in-law Adam; and Andrew Kuehn.  HIs grandchildren:  Elizabeth and Nicholas Kaspar; Lindsay, Matt, Allison, and Sara Holcomb; Joe, Christopher, Josh and Carli Kuehn; Kaythan, Greyson, Seyth Kuehn, Madison and Cade Allee; Gavin Kuehn; Kyle and Cannon Kuehn, Cruz Hayden and Asher Dolan; Amy and Jacob Haynes; Ryan, Charlee, and Kyle Salinas.  He is also survived by his older brother Ed and wife Joanne, younger brother Paul, and numerous nieces and nephews and godchildren.  He will be missed by all his family and many friends.

His six sons are honored to serve as his pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Ignatius Ignite Campaign.

Danny and Carol loved to dance, loved to cruise, and loved their Houston Astros.  His family requests that you wear either an Astros shirt or a cruise type shirt or dress at the Celebration of Danny's life.  Danny and Carol hope you dance.
