Daniel Earl Winborn, 44, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020. He was the second born child to James Adams Winborn and Linda Manthoof Wade on March 3, 1975 in Houston, TX.
Daniel graduated from Langham Creek High School in 1993 and was a decorated athlete, both in football and track and field. He attended Tyler Junior College, where he played football, Prairie View A&M University, where he played football and ran track and University of Houston, where he focused on academics. He loved to run, and he was fast. Seeded deep in his spirit was a level of perseverance that allowed him excel in sports and in living life after spinal cord injury.
He is preceded in death by his; grandparents, C.M (Charlie) & Margie Manthoof, Earl (Windy) & Mabel Winborn, uncle, Danny Manthoof, and cousin, Jeffery W Melvin.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Linda Wade; father, James Winborn and step-mother Yvonne Winborn; siblings, Kimberly Jones, Thomas Winborn, James Allen Winborn, Kristi Potter and Kelly Brown Winborn; aunt & uncle, Brenda & Bubba Melvin; cousins, Tray & Tyree Melvin; Connie Melvin; best friend, Earnest Harris; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
